I purchased this camera from a retail store on clearance. I purchased it for emailing photos, solely for internet fun. For that, it is great, as I was using my 35MM camera and printing/scanning photos the hard way. I do not imagine it would be the camera to use for special memories, but for what I purchased it for, it works good. I did need to use the Windows Photo editing tool, as closeups were a little difficult at first. This camera does not flash for pictures 3 feet and closer, so secondary light was needed.
